Gold Coast Stradbroke Island

South Stradbroke Island was a one of our family holiday destinations while I was growing up, so when I was invited to come along to a ‘Photo Walk’ hosted by Gold Coast Tourism with Lauren Bath and gold Coast Adventures, I jumped at the chance. Here is a look back at some images collected from the day.

Queen Mary Falls Queensland

Even after the success of the statewide Instameets held across Queensland last October, I still get asked “What is an Instameet?”. Here is a little peak at what went on at the recent Queen Mary Falls Instameet.

tori amos weatherman

In 2014, Tori Amos released an incredible collection of new songs titled ‘Unrepentant Geraldines’. For the third single, ‘Weatherman’, Tori connected with her fans through social media, asking us to post 14 second clips on Instagram so that she could use them to create an evolving music video. The result was posted at http://www.toriweatherman.com and is really special. While I was on a recent photo shoot, I felt inspired to create my own full length video… Read More

Starfish Moreton Island Touching Freedom

I’m absolutely thrilled that my first photo book has been been published! This collection is particularly special to me. The images are a representation of being trapped in situations and being so close to Touching Freedom.

Yosemite National Park

Here are my five favourite images captured on a recent trip to Yosemite National Park. It is truly one of the most majestic national parks in the world. All images are available as prints.

Daydream Island, Whitsundays, Queensland, Instameet, Instagram

After months of planning and organising, the biggest instameet in the world finally arrived yesterday. Over 80 Instameets took place across Queensland throughout the day, with Instagrammers coming from near and far to get together and share their love for Queensland. Here are ten of my favourite shots from across the state – plus two EPIC ones!

After a week cruising through incredible Alaska, it was time to head back to Vancouver. I had desperately wanted to see orcas in the wild while on this trip and even after all the amazing experiences I had through the week, I was still feeling a little incomplete with no sightings. On my last day of the cruise, I spent the entire day on the bow with eyes peeled for orcas. In… Read More

photoshop, snapseed, photo editing

To celebrate the production of my first coffee table photo book titled “Touching Freedom”, featuring 16 of my own images, I’d like to give one away for free! Now it’s no secret that a certain amount of touching up goes into an image, in fact I really like the creative process of taking something raw from the field and producing a piece of art. My example is a quick mobile hyper edit so… Read More

Instagram photography realness

Love it or hate it, Instagram is here to stay and only going to get bigger. It is becoming the new tool of choice for marketing and advertising as Facebook has become too controlled and is on the way out. I personally use it to post images of my travels and also fun experimentation such as light painting or steel wool photography. Here is a little insight to my time on the ‘gram.
